I've had some posts started, then saved, then just left here on the server and not finished. I'll finish them soon, but my "Year of Awesome" (yes, sarcasm) has kept a steady pace as I try to maneuver through a separation of sorts. As such I've barely been able to focus properly.
In the meantime, please, please read this short essay, The Trouble With My Blood, by author Will Self on his battle with a rare blood disease. It was published in October on The Guardian and I've tried to pass it around to as many people as I could. Some of his thoughts and experiences (his description of the infusion center made me tear up) echo my own to a T.
