Post-Traumatic, Stress, and Disorder

I am still in the 50k range, and it looks like I'm gonna be cruising here for a while. I usually get one large bruise on my leg, but after a week it goes away (til the next one pops up). Still off the Prednisone, and I go back for another check up next month. That's the longest I've gone without a CBC so we'll see if I dont take her up on the "standing order" and just pop in whenever I feel paranoid, just to check my levels. Years ago I never thought I'd be some 29 year old wishing to constantly get her blood drawn, but it just goes to show ha!

So, while I have been off the Prednisone I've noticed some residual Prednisone-like effects, if you will. I was on it for so long, I don't know if there's a possibility one get's a little...off wack from the long term use? ie. I still have major anxiety at times, still cry out of nowhere etc. Obvs NOT as bad as when I was taking the medicine, but it's enough for me to notice. Anyone have any experience like this? hm.

That said, it's made me wonder how one can get start to deal with the post-diagnosed disease life a bit better. I am someone who needs to take care of herself differently than prior to the illness. Not just in the physical sense, but mentally. I've decided to research some therapists who specialize in chronic illness, to see if maybe I can get some answers and tips on how to proceed from here. The last couple months have made me one confused chick, and it'll be good to sort out some things going forward.

Any other awesome sickos out there with tips on how they put the extra "oomph" in their daily lives post-illness...get in touch and let me know!
